David has been fanatical about all things film since the ripe old age of 8! Getting his first video camera at a very young age he began making stop motion animations and short sketches with his friends, he soon found his love of filmmaking was something that he knew he wanted to pursue. David graduated from The University of the Arts London in 2008 and has since been working freelance in Film, TV and Video. He has been lucky enough to have worked in a proper studio environment with 35mm film whilst working as Script Supervisor and Editor on ‘The Last Jazz Musician’, a short film shot at Shepperton Studios. As part of the role he also received training from legendary Script Supervision Penny Eyles. It was an incredibly rewarding experience and the Post Production workflow was an invaluable addition to his skillset! David’s favourite Directors are Danny Boyle, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan and Sam Mendez (and of course Jamie Patterson!) he has a love of Science Fiction and a guilty pleasure for zombie films!

My name is Georgia Bone and I started out at Ardingly College and was there for 13 years. I then moved to Oathall to sit my GCSES, and am currently studying Media Production, Film studies and English Language at Lewes College. I’ve always been a horserider and always had a great interest in TV and Film and would love to go into the Film industry and in twenty years time be an award winning producer with an Oscar sitting on my mantlepiece! I’m currently building up my CV and trying to gain as much work experience as I can. At the end of July I have been awarded 2 weeks work experience with ITV. I can’t wait! In whatever I do I give 110% and am always smiling and I love to be a part of a team and meeeting new people! Jumpstart is a great team and I’m so glad I’m part of it! :)

CHRISTIAN J HEARN (WRITER/DIRECTOR)

My interest in film peaked at the age of six when I first saw The Terminator. From then on it was a case of stealing my Dad’s video camera and making my own homemade special effects and doing my own stunts. But after starting several fires I found that what really interested me was wanting to become a director, and if I was ever going to direct anything I was going to need stories to tell. That’s how I got into screenwriting.

In 2009 I graduated from the University of Sussex with a degree in film studies. To date I have written and directed three short films and one documentary and I ‘m looking forward to working with Jumpstart to produce my debut feature film at the end of this year.
